I was a C-suite HR executive for over 20 years at companies ranging from mid-market to Fortune 500. I’ve sat across the table from board members, managed restructures, led teams through crises, and watched what happens when senior leaders get stuck.

What I noticed, over and over, was this: the smartest people in the room were often the ones who couldn’t see the thing that was actually driving their decisions. They’d try every fix. Reorganize the team. Have the tough conversation. Hire the consultant. And six months later, they’d be right back in the same place.

It wasn’t a talent problem. It wasn’t a strategy problem. It was a pattern they were inside of, and from inside, it just felt like “how I lead.”

That pattern has a cost. It’s the reason the leadership team won’t step up. The reason the same tension keeps surfacing in every quarterly review. The reason a capable executive keeps getting passed over and can’t figure out why. The pattern doesn’t announce itself. It just keeps producing the same outcomes.

I became the person who sees those patterns. That’s what I do now.

I’m an executive coach who works with C-suite and senior leaders at mid-market companies through private 1:1 coaching. My approach isn’t built on frameworks or assessments. It’s built on 20 years of watching senior leaders up close, learning what actually drives their decisions, and developing the ability to name it clearly enough that they can finally see it too.

Most of my clients find me through LinkedIn, where I write about the patterns I see in senior leaders every week. Some start with Executive Triage, a single 90-minute session designed to identify and name the one pattern running their decisions. Others come directly to 1:1 executive coaching through referrals from current or former clients.

Either way, the work is the same: I tell you what nobody else will, and then we figure out what to do about it.
