Leadership Insights for October 15th, 2025

Welcome to Leadership Insights! Each week, we curate transformative leadership insights and add our own expertise to help you lead with purpose and impact. Whether you’re a seasoned executive or an emerging leader, you’ll find actionable wisdom in every edition.

Today I offer a leadership tip that might surprise you: Make silence your secret weapon. In a world where leaders are often expected to have quick answers and constant input, embracing moments of silence can be one of the most powerful tools in your leadership arsenal.

This week, practice intentional silence in conversations or meetings. After someone speaks, pause for 3-5 seconds before responding. Use this time to fully process what’s been said and create space for others to contribute. Silence encourages deeper thinking, uncovers hidden insights, and often leads to better decisions. It’s not about saying less—it’s about listening and leading with greater impact.

I especially love his carousel that captures what true leadership looks like: clarity, curiosity, humility, and empowerment. Take a moment to click through and reflect—are people working for you, or with you?
